The Latest: Alaskan tourist says he is not scared after being robbed at gunpoint

By AP reporter Emily Stitt June 1, 2017 10:45:05Alaska tourism officials say one man was robbed at his Alaska hotel room at gun point Thursday morning, and the suspect told police he was intoxicated.

Police say the man was in Anchorage and visiting his girlfriend in Alaska for a week-long vacation when the incident occurred around 7 a.m.

The Anchorage Police Department posted a video of the incident on Facebook.

“I’m here in Alaska, so I’m not afraid,” the man says in the video.

“I’m not scared.

I just want to go home.”

The man says the man stole $10 in cash, $25 in a credit card and his mobile phone from his wallet.

He says he then fled the scene in a gray sedan.

A man who was inside the hotel room told police the suspect pointed a gun at him.

Police were alerted by an anonymous tip.

The suspect was last seen in a black sedan heading toward the parking lot of a Walmart in Anchorage.

Police have not released the name of the man.
