What you need to know about the wildfire outbreak in Alaska

A massive wildfire burning in the remote and inaccessible western Alaska area is threatening homes, schools and businesses.

The fire is burning near the town of Bering Sea.

It was started by a wildfire in the town, which has been evacuated.

The wildfire is expected to reach a height of more than 12,000 acres and spread quickly, the Alaska National Weather Service said Monday.
